Can Short Term Disability Wages be garnished in Michigan? - michigan short term disability
Wages have appeared (25%) for 3 months and my husband is now on disability in the short term. It is preserved only 50% of their wages and taxes and health supplements for sale. We noticed today that the deduction of 25% have also emerged. I do not think short-term disability can be arrested in Michigan. If so, it is something we can do about it is something that we need a file. Her weekly income is now less than $ 200, family 4, and many medical expenses of the last hospitalization, which led to short-term disability. Currently not return to work until sometime in November. Please help and advice. Thank you!

In most states, almost any type of social security income is not used. It is clear that to be the law of Michigan, other than that, but the fact that the embargo is increasingly suggesting that it (most crises can be done, requires a court order).
Many states provide a process called "request for exemption" or "request for exemption" or something like that. It is essentially an application to court to end the embargo, because the post-embargo is not enough income to survive. Note that in general, the application to the court that the attachment order, the court shall be filed in your area.
Of course, you do not pay a lot of free money for a lawyer. Check your nearby a legal aid clinic, or another type which has free support. Places to check is the local jurisdiction itself, the local bar, and look for the yellow pages (look for "legal aid" or "legal clinics"). If a university with the law in the vicinity of the school, which may beA place for new lawyers or lawyers who can help you find.
Finally, if you have a substantial part of debt, consider bankruptcy. It is unpleasant to look at, but when faced with more debt than their resources can survive paying a realistic environment and it's something you should consider, at least.
